Transradial Angiography & Interventions Proctorship

This activity is designed to present important and practical information for interventional/invasive cardiologists and their cath lab team members who are interested in learning how to incorporate transradial procedures and techniques into their practices. The radial artery approach to performing coronary invasive procedures can lead to less severe or no access-site complications when compared with the transfemoral approach. This new access has demonstrated improved patient satisfaction, decreased time to ambulation, and more importantly, decreased risk of bleeding complications.

Interventional/invasive cardiologists may attend one-day or one-and-a-half-day (2nd day optional) sessions, consisting primarily of live case demonstrations and tips and tricks, to learn steps needed to perform coronary invasive procedures proficiently and safely, using the radial artery approach.

This activity is supported by an educational grant from Merit Medical Systems, Inc.
